Adding New Deals

When you have negotiated your own deal, you add it to the DSP with My Deals. Once you've added the deal, it's available for all of your tactics.

When you negotiate a deal with an exchange, you'll agree on pricing and other details and receive a deal ID. You'll need the deal ID and details to enter the deal intothe DSP. For most exchanges, you'll need to know these details:

  • name of the exchange
  • deal ID
  • deal name
  • price
  • publisher

If your exchange provides deal verification, you'll only need the name of the exchange and the deal ID.

Deal Verification

Some exchanges can verify your deal ID and automatically fill in your deal details. If your deal is verified by one of these exchanges, you'll only need to provide the exchange name and deal ID, and the exchange fills in the other details. Other exchanges require more information.

Verified Deals

These exchanges can verify your deal ID:

  • Google
  • Rubicon

If your deal is verified through one of these exchanges, you'll only need to provide the exchange name and deal ID when you add the deal. The remaining details are auto populated when the DSP verifies the deal with the exchange.

Unverified Deals

If the exchange can't verify your deal, you can still add it, but you'll need to enter the deal details manually.

Exchanges with No Verification

Most exchanges do not automatically verify deal IDs. When you add a deal from one of these exchanges, you'll need to enter the deal details manually.

To Add a Deal

  1. Open the Private Marketplace page.
  2. Click Create new deal.
  3. In the Create New Deal window, enter your Deal ID, choose an Exchange, and then click Next.
    • If your exchange tries to verify the deal ID but cannot find it, you'll see an alert:

        • If you need to update the Exchange or Deal ID, make your changes and click Retry verification.
        • If you're sure you have a valid deal ID, you can click Continue without verification and manually fill in the deal details.
    • If your exchange doesn't verify deal IDs, you'll see this message:

  4. Fill in the required Additional Details.
    • If your exchange provides deal verification, the required fields are automatically filled in.
    • If your deal was not verified, fill in the required deal details:
      • Deal Name
      • Price
      • Vendor
  5. Optional: Enter the remaining deal details.

Tip: Fill in as many details as you know. When you create tactics that use the deal, the DSPuses these details to validate the tactic details.
  6. Click Save. You'll see your deal in My Deals when you set up your PMP tactics.
